Online-Casinos.info for $5,000...wow! It IS however potentially a really good buy if the new owner SEOs and monetizes it well. Thankfully, it's a gambling name because of course that's primarily what my best names are, hehe. In fact, that might help Afternic toss me a fricken bone and approve VegasCasinos.net into their showcase since they seem keep on keeping Poker.in out of it.

Oh yea, and check out Suffocate.com. I'm a music composer and was actually considering bidding on it with the thought of it eventually being the name of a rock band I'd start. Last time I saw it, I think there was a day or two left and it was at about $400 or so...yikes! Most amount of bids I think I've ever seen on a sold Afternic name!

I would rather drop $5k on a three letter domain.

Some people don't mind hyphens  the only other .info hyphen sale around that range that i know of was New-York.info for $3,500 at Sedo in 2005.

Damn...that nissan hyphen adventure .com advert just came on again on TV - It sounds terrible when they read it out !!! D-:

.info sales are looking good !

A very bad purchase. An awsome sale. If I had $5K to invest in a casino site, I would have spent $1.49 on a .INFO domain and the rest on marketing / advertising / development.

Suffocate.com could have a pretty wide following for an adult site as well. (They do some weird stuff with shrink wrap nowadays) To that end it may have been a very trifty buy.

this .info sales just goes to reassert the fact that no matter what trends in prices and what not people notice, it is still very possible to break the status quo and make a good sale.

very funny comment badger.

webcom, your suggestion is interesting, and will probably work, but if the domain name one needs to have for a venture is not the right one, then this whole industry wouldn't be what it is.the name does matter ALOT.

I'm sure a transaction of that size might take a while, but yea, hasn't shown as sold yet. Given that 2 of my last 3 winning bidders there have been NPBs and my current one seems to be too, I hold absolutely 0 faith in won auctions as opposed to sold names.

By the way, FWIW, Online-Casinos.info was regged back in 2002. At least it wasn't regged like last year or something.
