Hello there,

I used to always go to Ho.org to get to Google.com... (don't ask me why).

But they used to own it, and It appears that it's now in the hands of a company called 'Ho Internet'.

Is this something to do with Google, did it drop. or was it sold?

I wunder how much for

HO.LA was reserved by the .LA registrar. Last I heard they wanted $100,000 for it, the highest price of any domain they reserved.

They were withdrawing all their 1 character domains, not the LL's.

And I guess they wanted that much for Ho.la because it is a very good hack. Hola means hello in Spanish I think. (somebody pls correct me if I am wrong).

Gosh I wish those guys could see how badly they tarnished the reputation of their extension with that stupid move. They emailed owners of one character domains and informed them that they would not be able to renew because the previous company handling the registry sold them by mistake (although other countries have one character names). Two character names were not affected. But it showed the naked emperor ruling all domain names - any registry can take back any name anytime.
