hi everyone!

I need your help. seriously.
It's some time now I'm considering to get into web design and I trying to find out where to start from.
Some friend told me that enrolling in a web designer course will be a waste of money and time since you can learn the same things on your own with patience and dedication. I still think that if the course is the right one it will give something more than learning on my own.
Before investing any sum of money on it could anyone tell me if is really worth it?
