Hello,
I hope all is well. I've been reading Namepros for around a month and can see there is a great community here with a good spirit. By joining I am hoping to learn more and make some great connections.
I am a developer and have a website at dotword.domains which focuses on the dotword extensions. Maybe that has half of you groaning already - but that's ok because the other half of you are smiling
If you would like to see some particular tools there then let me know.
It is an exciting and disruptive time. I can't say for certain whether the new extensions are a welcome shake-up to all (as I was not here before) but it certainly offers end-users more choice.
Inspired by but not following the template:
Anyway. Hello to a great community! I hope we all live long and prosper

Inspired by but not following the template:
- I got into domaining to get rich quick! Realising that doesn't happen then I am trying to work out how to get rich slowly ...
- Dotwords already challenge the authority of equivalent dotcoms when there is a powerful combination between the two sides of the dot; i.e. when the LHS keywords flow naturally into the RHS extension. But of course one can (and will) register complete garbage too.
- Dotcoms will remain King but it will become a smaller 'k'. Over time it is conceivable that dotcom re-balances to become "just" another dotword but many things need to change for that to happen so that is well over the horizon. And since every company will still want a dotcom then demand will always be there.
- I see a lot of great domain names that are neither parked nor developed. I would love to find a way to unlock value in those "Zombie domains" ...
- Making money from domains seems to be a choice between parking, developing, or selling on to either other domainers or end users. For those selling, end user price is the top-price so we as a community need to engage more with end users.
Anyway. Hello to a great community! I hope we all live long and prosper
