Was anybody around here active in this field during the Win2K-XP upgrade period? What were the niches available for click and affiliate revenue when you had such a large upgrade cycle? Do you guys think it'll happen this time around for the "longhorn" release? I saw the rumor the other day from the Enquirer that the name might be "x-pedition" STRANGE BUT TRUE. But I tell you, if it is the real name, it might just be what I would like to call "Hyphen Liberation" lol
I have a few "upgrade" names in the wings: any one else thinking in this zone?

Lastly, do you think the 64 bit thing is a reality? When will it be embraced?

64 bit will come, but it may take a while. It's just like when we went from 16 to 32 bit. Windows 95 was 32 bit, but had LOTS of 16 bit pieces. Even WinNT had some 16 bit stuff, I think the first really 16 bit free Windows was XP/2003,which took about 7 years. 64 bit will likely come the same way. Servers first, new slots on motherboards with old ones still there for a while like the ISA slots were for a long time. It won't be an overnight thing.
