Here's an easy one - How do I get control of a domain?

So I'm a rookie hobby web designer. Some people asked me to make them a site and they say they've bought the name www.tomahsaddleclub.com. She gave me her username/email and password. It isn't coming up. When I conduct the whois search it appears...I think...that oregonnames has control of it.

So, what happened and how in the heck can I get that back?

Can someone else do a whois for the domain name and read it? Am I reading that right?

It appears that it expired, then was caught on the drop by snapnames. You may want to go to the URL below and make an offer.

BTW- It's likely they paid at least $60 for it and "they" are probably a member of this forum.

Ditto what Robert said. OregonNames/SnapNames has it.

Either buy it (or negotiate), show trademark rights, or move on. Can't do any
other thing about this.

Use another extension

Forget the long name, register it in another extension.

If your client is the original owner then I would issue a C&D to the new registrant and ask them to kindly transfer the name back to the owners or face legal action.

The Tomah Saddle Club was established in 1961 and has TM rights built in

This is ONLY infringment if your client is either a Owner/officer/legal representative of the Tomah Saddle Club .
