I have a gallery on one of my websites im building:

My problem is I am trying to fade the images in when clicked.. it must be done with an onclick load of an image because if the page refreshes it resets the gallery.. What I have done is add a script that will do what I just said.. problem is.. on the first trip around when you click an image from the gallery it fades in the old image then switches to the new image, second time around (after you click through the images once) it fades the correct image in perfectly. I have tried adding an image preloader.. but when I add the onload to the body it disables my gallery slider.
I also need to add descriptions for each image that is clicked.. but it must not refresh the page as well..
If anyone can help me I will gladly donate all the namebucks I have (I know its not much).. need to get this done asap.. today would be ideal.
