Help with Cj please

hello. Iam trying to make an affiliate site regarding designer select home accessories products. so i signed for cj account and trying to understand how does this work. can somebody please show me ready website, which is using cj and recommending customers to buy this or that products from its original vendors. i wonder how those linking works. and from your personal experience, can you please tell me what kind of linking is better from options below:
1. banner of the main page of vendor's website.
2. text link to the main page of vendor's web site
3. text link to the product page on vendors website
4. or showing product with picture on my website, and link to purchase on vendors website.
may be where is more options? if there is, than what?

Each website is different. Try placing a combo of text ads and image ads from advertisers in different places on your website. Track them over a couple of months and see which ones are getting the most clicks. If they don't get anything, then try either new ads, or place them elsewhere on your website.

There is no single golden rule. Each website is layed out differently, has different users and as such you must find what works best. Though with that said - don't overwhelm your users, but still make sure the ads are prominent and attract your user's eyes.

Example - www.wirenews.ca - Image banner ads mostly, but in some stories if the products match I will use a text link.

As well, be prepared to switch advertisers or image banners as some just don't garner any clicks - others you will see get instant action. Also remember the season on which your ads are placed. Since it's almost Christmas be sure to use ads that fit the season, and in the new year be sure to get ones with heavy discount sales etc etc.

i was also wondering, if somebody here running affiliate site related to furniture. how does furniture sales do on internet? are people actually buying furniture, without seeng/touching, measuring, etc it? And what would be the best affiliate program out of cj for this kind of site?

i also have another question. cj is calculating impressions. does it mean that that pay also per some amount of impressions? do i need to specially sign for it separatelly or whatewer they calculated they will pay?

CJ doesn't pay for impressions. They only pay per action; either leads, applications, or approvals.

In regards to selling furniture, I think you can sell anything on the internet as long as you have the right website set up. People buy live fish online, so nothing surprises me.

In my experience, text ads always worked best.
