theres the site that i am makin. on the home page i have a background image and i am just wondering how to get the image not to keep tiling like that. i just want the image shown once. does anyone know how? i am makin this in dreamweaver btw.

well never mind i figured out how. but now that i got that done i was wondering if you had any suggestions for the site? i am definately re-doing it this is just a practice site but i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions comments about the site.

Maybe you should try slicing up the images so they can display faster. Also there are lots of ways to spice up your site using css rather than images. It will give the site a really proffessional look.

Simple solution
The Background Image is 358KB in size ,Way too large
Use a format with less colours and More Compression

Barefoottech is right, took forever to load your page on DSL. Use his image, get a professional domain name without the ads. I also don't recommend using a background as part of the actual layout, in other words use some tables.
