Help with Avatar Img

I've had many problems putting an image as my avatar. Always says its too big or too large even when it isn't. Can anyone help me put this image as my avatar?

Right click and save this image, then use it as your avatar. You needed to change the size a little. It was too large.

Oh what is the best way to make an img smaller?

You'll need a graphics program like Adobe or Corel.

What about like microsoft frontpage? You can like post a pic and then change the dimensions.
