I'm a student at Carnegie Mellon University, and I'm reaching out to all you NPer's for some help. Google is currently considering Pittsburgh, PA to be one of its test sites for its new fiber internet service dubbed Google Fiber. However, their decision of which city to select is heavily based on user nominations, and so we can use all the help we can get.

Please visit Pittsburgh Google Fiber Project - Ready, willing and able., click "Add Your Voice", then "Nominate Pittsburgh", then the appropriate box and fill out the required fields with Pittsburgh, PA as the city. It will take a mere minute of your time, and is for a great cause!

Please do this as it will not only bring faster internet to the residents of Pittsburgh, but enable Carnegie Mellon University, a leading university in the field of computer science, and other universities to revolutionize the university's distance learning capabilities, give the faculty and students the powerful connectivity they need to manage and manipulate large data sets, and drive the redevelopment of Pittsburgh even further into a technology-based economy.
