Help needed asap

i'm gettin this error

I cannot connect to the database because: Access denied for user 'gamersho_playsta'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

can anyone help please

Either your database settings were changed or your MySQL account modified (removed, renamed, password changed, ....).

Has this problem only just started or is it a case that you are only just installing some software at present?

If the problem has simply started on an already installed software then it is possible as suggested by neroux that the mysql account has been deleted or modified.

If you are just installing some software then ensure you have copied the username and password correctly.

Sounds like your password is wrong.

Here's a few steps to take:
1) Check that the database/user/password information is correct
2) Check that the user/password has been given appropriate privilages for the database

ok, so i have a main domain and a sub domain. which database username & password i use for the sub domain, the main domain or the sub domain database UN & PWD?

the mysql username has no knowledge and has nothing to do with which domain you use it from.

What does make a difference is that the username is associated with the database.
