Help me with a logo

I made a logo and I know it needs to be changed in some way but I cannot think of it. Here it is..

try making it 3D i should look better, put some shadows, maybe a basketball bord or something.

get a pic of a basketball, a big G and a basketball board from the net and put it together (overlapping) using layers in Photoshop
