You won't need a VPS for 5 domains. You can go for a reseller account. Once you make a list of hosts that will fit for you, you may try contacting them and explain your scenario, some may give you the option to host multiple accounts.
What is your budget?

@ Dennis, I think it is against the rules to make offers in this section.

Hello,

You have 2 options that a lot of people have to decide when wanting to host multiple domains. You can go down the route of shared hosting, where there is 1 main domain on the hosting account and you can add other domains to run off directories.

Or you can pay a little extra for reseller hosting where each of your domains has a separate control panel.

What you should do is contact a host. Say your requirements to them, you should go with a host that provides cPanel - a professional and easy-to-use hosting management panel with a lot of features - as it allows you to have addon and parked domains (hosting multiple domains on 1 hosting account.)

It is my opinion that you don't need a cPanel reseller account as you have so little domains, this will keep your costs down also.

Contact a host, get an idea of bandwidth usage also, how many people visit your sites and any other information to help that host get an idea of what best suits you. Look around, talk to a few hosts and choose the best one.

I hope my post helps,
Jack.

If you don't use much bandwidth, a free host would actually be better than you. From what you give, I would have to agree with whoever said that VPS shouldn't be an option. In my opinion, get a reseller ONLY if you are wanting to sell/give out hosting.

I know heaps of sites that are hosted by 1and1.com
I dunno what they say but sometimes it might be pricey?
But you can also try free hosts.
Resellers you need when you need plenty of space.

There are a lot of web hosting companies offering both: VPS and shared web hosting. I would recommend you to consider lunarpages, serverpoint.com, site5.
Find easy to mowe web hosting companies.

Anant, you can feel quite comfortable on a multiple hosting shared plan, I'm using webhostingbuzz.com services, and you can host unlimited domains on their plans, there are other comnpanies allowing multiple domains, say hostnexus.com. I guess both provide what is called budget hosting, which will be more secure than a free hosting plan recommended above.

With 5 domain names you would be safe with a shared hosting account. There are also companies that accept paypal like myself for those who do not have CC or feel safer using paypal.
