Help Making a Download!

Hi another question from a newbie to web design! I want to upload a program onto my site for download... i have resale rights but i just dont know how to do it because my web design software is crap! can anyone help me??

you can add this to your page (in html code)

Upload it using FTP. If you want to sell it, then you need to protect it from unauthorized download. Hire a programmer to do so.

its a free download so do is there any need to protect it?
