Hello NamePro people,
First of all, thanks very much indeed for all the knowledge and information, incredibly useful and very impressive.
I'm Jimmy. I'm another newbie who bought a few domains when he should have done more research beforehand. I would really appreciate any comments about these seven domains. Please let me know if this post does not conform to forum rules. Sorry if it's overlong, I am hopefully following appraisal request suggestions correctly.
There are two .com (one in English and one in Spanish), and five .io, (one in English and four in Spanish)
vestidonegro.com ( "black dress" in Spanish. On GoDaddy, vestidorojo.com ("red dress") is on sale for 22,685.26€)
coffeespain.com ( spaincoffee.com is on GoDaddy for 20,782.06€)
consumables.io (as .io is very tech and computer-related, I thought this could be used to build a genuine online business or be used as a store website address).
comunicacion.io ("communication" in Spanish. Good strong generic business word in a big language)
supermercado.io ("supermarket" in Spanish. Online supermarket?).
jamon.io
jamonserrano.io
Ham or "jamon serrano" is so popular in Spain. There are any amount of ham websites and shops here. My thinking was that, although not tech-related at all, it is such a big category and with what seems to be a domain tld with great future and possibility ( .io sounds very "Spanishio" also, there are many ES words ending in .io, it seems to feel right for the language and it interests me to see what the future uptake will be in Spanish). Many generic one word food words with .io have been taken (the word for bread, "pan", has an .io price of 18,228.97€ on offer on GoDaddy, for example).
Reasoning:
Acquisition reason: All generic, memorable, plainly spelt words and concepts.
Markets: all possible business use (clothing, food/drink companies, consumables companies, PR companies).
Research: as painfully admitted above, I should have done more research and I wish I had discovered NamePro a little earlier, but what I did was:
Check GoDaddy for available domains, and note costs and price offerings from similar domain owners.
Check Flippa for similar domains on sale
Check Estibot for estimated value (at time of checking, all were estimated to be at least worth double the price I paid for them, and in some instances, significantly more).
Would love to know where these prices on GoDaddy come from, which perhaps seduced me a bit!
Thanks again in advance for any suggestions or comments, and a good day to all.
Jimmy
