Hi everyone! Happy new year to you all! My name is Ted. I bought my first domain in 1999 and has been a domainer since then. Currently I’m focusing on premium .ID domain names.

".ID" is country code for Indonesia which is the world’s 4th Most Populous country and currently the fastest growing country in Asia, only second to China, or .ID is also for “identification”.

This industry has been evolving tremendously since 20 years ago and I don’t claim to know it all since there are still a lot to learn every single day.

Hope to get some great advice from you guys, Glad to be a new member!

Seems there indeed could be some cool things done with .id domains outside the scope of a ccTLD. Are foreigners allowed to hold .id domains?

Have you made any good .id sales yet? Or has most of your sales been in gTLDs?

Hi Ategy, originally this is the country top level domain for Indonesia, but this flexible domain is now available for everyone. With .id you can easily transform your website’s identity. It’s a perfect extension to celebrate everything about you and your individuality, but it’s also a great choice for security industries and anyone working with identity and information.

Yes in the past most of our sales have been in gTLDs, but just in the past year or so, there's a huge spike in .id sales & it's now surpassing our gTLDs sales. Almost half of high value sales (domain >$5K) were coming from outside Indonesia.
