Hello Domqo .. and welcome to namepros. How about you sharing a bit more information about yourself and the type of domains you're interested in? :)

I started dabbing in domains December 2016. I justified it by skipping a trip to the casino, I love to gamble! I have sold 3 domains so far. And they weren't the domains I thought would would go first.

Now let me give you some advice!

1. At the moment if you are hell bent on registering names, use eWallHost. They are $5.99 for the year.
2. Stop hand registering domains.
3. If you can't stop, force yourself to wait 24 hours before registering it.
4. Stop registering domains.
5. If you can't stop, under NO circumstances should you register adult names. Unless you plan to develop it. If you need a male model for male on female filming, I will volunteer some of my time just to help you grow your business! I have a ton of adult names you can buy cheap. They are registered through December 2018.
6. That brings me to my next point, do NOT register for more than a year UNLESS you know you will keep it.
7. Do NOT buy privacy. IMO it is a waste of money. So if you want privacy for domains you are keeping that is kosher!
8. Because you are skipping privacy get an email address that you use ONLY for WHOIS.
9. If you can afford another number for WHOIS, I suggest that. I am about to do this myself. It is annoying as hell getting emails, calls, and texts from India asking me if I want a website.
10. Stop hand registering domains.

PS.

I am up to 275 names. It is highly addictive. I have identified 100 names I will not renew. Think about that.

I could have these three domains right now with the money Ive spent. I am guessing that the $5k-ish for those 3 domains would have been a better investment than the 275 domains I have now. Even if you say that is too much for those domains right now, they could grow. And if I needed to get out of them, I know I could sell them again . . . it wouldn't be a complete loss.
If you want to see my 275 I will PM them to you.

Yes, I suggest you invest in .com for now, you can invest in other extensions later when you know the type of names to buy.

Spend more time reading the vast material here before you buy, as suggested by @Want2learn earlier. Check out sales reports from namebio / dnjournal. Also follow namepros marketplace/auctions, see what other members are buying. You can then decide the direction you want to take / niche you want to invest / type of names depending on your budget e.g. you can invest in 3L / 4L names or one word / keyword rich names.

Continue learning, good luck
