Well, it could be a privately printed piece of fan fiction, but it certainly looks like the real thing. It would be a really elaborate hoax if it's not.

We'll unless someone typed up all 700+ pages, printed it into a book then sat there and took pictures of each page it looks real. I'll wait for it on book tho

Who would type up a 759 page story, print it in exact Harry Potter book format and take pictures?

Everything in it sounds legit and it already created a buzz in the media. There wouldn't be a buzz if it was fake.

Their are some very weird hp fans out their, I wouldn't put it past them. Theirs lots of fakes.

well i have definately seen many HP stories which have have never been published by Rowling. This means that people do write up weird stories using these characters.

i read that is why major characters were killed off in this book..... rowling wanted to retire the series but was afraid that some writers out there would take it upon themselves to continue writing Harry Potter books....so to prevent that, she decided to put an end to the whole thing...

Nobody can continue it unless they get license to all TMs and agreement from JK Rowling.

IMO new series of their kids called "Albus Severus" wouldn't be too bad.

A band called Metallica did that with their album St Anger (I think it was that album). They released 3-4 fake copies of the album onto file share programs etc (they were real recordings just not the real album).
