Hafnium

I just read an article that IBM and Intel have developed chips based on hafnium instead of silicon and will be making CPUs with that material in the future. Hafnium does not have the same ring as silicon, but it may become a buzz word in the future. Most of the top level extensions for haflnium were already registered, but I grabbed hafnium.mobi and hafnium.tv. I am not wild about these extensions and they were more expensive than a .com. Do you guys think that this keyword would work in these TLDs?

I was looking at Hafnium names myself today. Its not only IBM but also Intel has made their claim of using this new technology. Its susposed to revolutionize the computer and electronics industry as we know it. As far as the TLD's you snagged....I would say while they are not better than the .com they still hold value because they have the good keyword and the technology will probably expand into mobile devices and everything else in the world. I think the keywords may become popular in the near future, however the extensions you bought have particular uses. .mobi is for mobile websites, and .tv is for television program websites (generally speaking). In this sense... I don't see much usage for the keyword hafnium, as it would make more sense as hafnium.info.

But, maybe there will be a TV show called hafnium...

Went off to do a bit of reading. If the stories are true this could indeed be big. Smaller chips, less heat generation and lower power consumption == a great thing for mobile devices (good for the .mobi crowd iPoders and Zunies...) in addition to more powerful desktop/servers etc.

Anyone interested in a fully voice activated cell phone the size on your Bluetooth -- no keys to punch..

Yeah, that probably would have been a better way to go than the .mobi and .tv. Oh well, we will see how it pans out. I had to buy the .mobi for two years.

when the process changed from AL to copper, it did not make as big a deal as I thought it would. The process and the material used are changing all the time. Can you change the terms/words used daily because of the change? Now the thin silicon oxide is replaced by hafnium, can it generate as big wave as it should?

I think unless the substrate or the wafer making process is changed, the change on the
thin oxide is minimal. However I still went ahead and regged http://eHafnium.com just in case.
