Extensions kills the value.

If somebody asks for a valuation on a .info or .org they are asking for a valuation as a .info or .org. It's like going to a garage to get your Ford valued and the guy saying "It's not a Ferrari, that's going to kill the value".

Tax and law keywords fit .info well. People want information on tax and law and clicks on sites that provide it are potentially extremely valuable to lawyers and tax advisors who stand to gain thousdand of dollars in fees.

TaxReturn.info sold for $4,181 in Nov 2006 on Sedo. I bought TaxRates.info for $750 and TaxBreaks.info for $600 in 2007. TaxLevy.info and IRSTaxProblem.info have received 2 bids on Sedo. Law.info is up to 99 bids on Sedo versus 13 for Law.ca, 3 for Law.ws, and 2 for Law.es demonstrating the excellent goodness of fit between law and .info in general. InjuryLaw.info is on 7 bids.

For sale on NP, I would value HackingTips.info at $150-$200, AvoidTax.info at $200-$250, and MalaysiaLaw.info at $100-$150. If I got a bid on Sedo, I would hope to get up to mid to high $XXX for AvoidTax.info.

Incidentally, AvoidTax.tv is unregged so that can genuinely be valued at reg fee if anybody is on a tight budget. Presumably, there isn't any tax in Tuvalu to avoid which is why the Tuvalu government has to rent out their country code to speculators who missed the landrush for gTLD's.

Im not convinced HackingTips.info would raise low $xxx on any of the domain forums, including NP. Undeveloped I can't see it reaching mid $xx.

.info does affect the value and can be hard to sell, especially to a reseller. On the other hand it is often fairly easy to get nice keywords for a reasonable price and develop a site on them. Personally I would recommend this, but thats just my opinion.

Good luck!

Well,
If someone asks for a valuation on a .info or .org, the appraisal will also be inline with the extension.

You are comparing apples and oranges.

Tax Return, Injury Law are prime keywords. Avoid Tax is NOT a prime keyword, neither it has a good Google Trend, nor it has a good WT score.

It seems .Pro speculators have no idea about .TV names and the power of media industry on the web. :D

.TV is skyrocketing everyday. More and more .TV websites are coming out and many bigheads including MLB, ABC, Turner etc, have their media presence on the internet with .TV.

.INFO has already overtaken by .TV.

What about .pro? Go and see where it's standing.

FlirtTips.info sold for $237 and TopTip.info sold for $770 but I take your point about difficulty selling any alternative extension domains on NP.

.Pro is a sideline but you have to admit I have some sweet fitting keywords! I was only joshing with you about .tv.

I wouldn't rely on that trend analysis, alot of people use a dot to separate multi word search in Google, eg. quote.marks instead of "quote marks" and athe word TV is incredibly popular in Google searches. To illustrate, how unreliable your trend analysis is try replacing the .info with .con and watch .tv and the non-existent .con fight it out for "trend" supremacy.

Even the non-existent .con has trends, but what about .pro? :hehe:

There may be a technical glitch at Google Trends, which shows trend results for an non-existing extension: .con.

Google Trends has trend results for every extension, and it falsely shows trend results for an non-existing extension .con, which does not mean its trend statistics are false.

As per the statistics, .TV websites are growing exponentially.

It has trend statistics for .SU also. Typing a non-existing domain extension, and comparing it with .TV is nothing but shooting in dark.

All the best!
