Hello all. I'd like an appraisal of my h2o.ski domain name.

A few notes:

Acquisition Reason/s: For fairly quick resale or basic domainname-value-adding. I think.
Markets: Cross-market brandable: Water-ski retail/services/tourism market; jet-ski retail/services/tourism
Research: In progress.
End-User Value: Cross-market brandable.
Reseller Value: short, non-premium, strong term-to-extension relationship, ubiquitous keyword
Traffic: Nil/Not currently measured
Revenue: Nil
Age: 0
Miscellaneous: I like tacos

Okay, so the bit about tacos was a nonsense non sequitur. I could eat a random appraisal though...

Don't be discouraged by lack of replies - a great deal of people here have been doing this for years, and it's not so much they're jaded or unfriendly (quite the opposite), just busy and worn out.

So, sometimes it's the newer crowd that replies here. Which is good because we know where you're at friend, but maybe not as domain savvy......and definitely not as wordy as I am. Still with me?

Here are the two things I notice about your domain. 1. It's a mix of numbers and letters. 2. The .ski is snow recreation related.

I see what you're going for there with the h2o.ski - it's a keen look. But with that extension being snow sports related, it doesn't fit right with unfrozen water.

Mixing numbers with letters is a tricky thing, and under most cases it's taboo. Sure, if you had h2o.com you just hit the lottery - but try to avoid doing it unless it's a 2-3 character .com or .net, or carrying a pair of 8's in it.

Now, does that mean your domain is a bust? Not at all - look around for some jet ski suppliers or water recreation merchants and reach out to them. If you can find one willing to learn about the .ski extension, you can likely sell it.

Read everything you can here and then read some more. Try to avoid buying any domains for awhile until you get a feel for things, and then still sleep on it before you do it. And remember, this is just my opinion - to me your domain is worth $10, to the right person it might be worth $1,000

Good luck!

I'd agree with the observations above and also suggest a value around $10.
