And the best part, its free from google trademark list.
There is a company that owns a trademark for the word gtalk but no copyright. So as long as the logo is different than the trademark, this is totally fine.

Appraisals for this? Was a big brand and is still brandable.

Grace delete it if possible. Even if Google doesn't own the trademark they can drown you in attorney fees if you get anything developed on it.. Not worth the risk in my opinion.

Dude its not their product anymore. Gtalk was scraped long back. After that they have moved to Hangouts. There's a business running on gtalk.com

if there is no trademark infrigement ,as you state, then you could fetch 1k, maybe more if you succeed to convince people that there is no trademark on it.

the problem is that the majority will run very fast because gtalk is still powerfully associated with google talk and they will not even bother with you from the start, even if you explain to them about the trademark issue, once it has been asociated with google, the game is pretty much a dead end.

personally i would try to sell it at the parking value for an year, assuming that it has some type in traffic at 246k searches, even on the org extension, otherwise i would not even bother to maintain it

agree with xpimp - you are starting by trying to convince end user of something they don't want to or can't understand.

are you getting any type ins at the moment?

I understand the trademark concern but have a look at this page:

google dot com/permissions/trademark/our-trademarks.html

It lists all the trademarks owned by Google. There is no mention of Gtalk or even Google Talk in the list. They have now moved on to Hangouts. I am pretty confident about it being free from any trademark from Google.

I am wondering, why did you buy this domain if in your mind it's got nothing to do with google ?

Did you know the word gtalk before you saw this domain? Definitely yes!! Thats the brand power behind this domain. I dont think many domains have this.

Since the OP is confident that the domain has nothing to do with Google, let's consider its value without the Google.

Gtalk could refer to gangster talk. But other than that, it would compete with atalk, btalk, and etc.

For an end user, it's going to be hard to establish a name when there is so much content referring to gtalk as google talk. Additionally, I'm sure many people still call google hangouts as gtalk. If you use gmail, you'll notice the old gtalk interface is active. There is also a link called "try out the new hangouts". I'm not convinced that the name is entirely free to develop.

Parking is probably the best option, as several users above have noted.

Parking the domain will probably result in the display of infringing ads, thus accelerating the prospect of a UDRP against the domain name.

how many uniques this domain registers per day?

The dot com looks Game Talk. Could be any forum that starts with a 'G" that has a charity/saving the world slant. Feels minimal value without an interested party. Goodluck

Game talk/ girls talk and many more options. The thing is it can be developed well and the plus point is the brand name.

Its getting 30-50 visitors everyday

Another case of a member asking for considered opinions, and then flat out ignoring them. OP even refers to the brand power of the name. Which comes from where? Google! (And, when does copyright apply to domains?? Never AFAIK.)

Just checked an old android phone we have lying around. It has installed an app (which I can't delete) which has the word "talk" over a google style G.

Trademark or no trademark - THAT is what's in my head...

Lets leave the trademark aside. What you guys will it be worth if there is no trademark of google involved in it?

@mankat, that was addressed in the following post:
