GTA or GTA4 domains??? Any TM issues

it depends on usage a lot, if your going right for the games then yeah, but if you had another reason for the name lets say something like great transport assistance (example) then possibly no, its all usage, but like DN says above, do you want the domain because of the games?

Most game companies will say that you can use the name as long as you don't "make a profit off of it", or some will say don't use their copyright images on it if you are going to make it a for-profit (ie selling stuff).Best bet? Ask the game maker. They will be happy to let you know where their boundaries are.

The question was "is there any issues"... I could ramble on for 675 pages to this question with another 384775 pages from smarter people than me. But the basics is, yes, there can be issues. And it is obvious what TM he has in mind (I don't think the Gat Teen Advice is close to it's 4th version yet). Now, if he were to clarify his intentions more clearly for a more distint answer (say, maybe only 20 pages long in response) then that will help better. Or, I could just go by my good old standy... Read My Sig It will answer all of his questions.

No. There are many, many GTA fansites on the web with the name 'grandtheftauto' or 'GTA' in the name.

just because there around doesnt make them ok, as stated above dont use copyrighted stuff for profit you could be ok, it really all depends on the TM holder and you, take the piss and they'll come for you, be a legit fansite and be ok, hell even put some of there images up you could be ok, yet you could be the one they make an example off.

Well, GTAGaming.com uses GTA and they recieve free gifts from Rockstar, the people who make GTA.

Gaming forums traditionally are left alone as long as it is not a commercial venture. Yeah, many gaming forums have adsense and they are not bothered by the TM holder. It is all on how the forum is developed. Legally it is an issue, but in reality, it usually isn't.
