Grrr.. Film question that is driving me crazy !!

So, my wife comes back from work the other day and asks me the following question:

"Which Actor or Actress has starred in three trilogies playing the same character in each film of each particular trilogy set?" For example:

Mel Gibson - Played Max in Mad Max 1,2 and 3 and played [can't remeber character name] in Lethal Weapon, but I couldn't think of a third trilogy (and I don't think there is one).

Ahh you say, Harison Ford - Played Indiana Jones (in the 3 Indian Jones's :p ); Hans Solo (star wars) and he played Jack Ryan in the Tom Clancy films - bingo! - but no, there has only been two Tom Clancy Films made. (this is the closest I got)

I gave up and asked her who it was, she replied "I don't know, it had everybody stumped at work aswell" Ahhhh - please help!!
