Great Travel Site (now PR5!) looking to exchange links

NOW PR5!!!

I've got a relatively new travel site called TravelVoyeur.com and am jsut starting to exchange links. I don't have PR yet as it's too new, but it's already getting some traffic (about 50/day) and I have a history of begin able to get lots of traffic to sites.

If you have a real travel site, not just a PPC site without something really going on in it, let me know if you wish to exchange links.

I'd be interested in doing a link exchange with you. My website is www.accommodation-ni.com - accommodation directory for Northern Ireland. You want to do an exchange ?

Sure, I'll exchange with your site. I see your links page has your link partners' images. Could you right click the logo on my site and save it and use it on the page? You might have to resize it down, but that's up to you. Let me know.

Nice little adsense site, but there is really no content and just links to travel companies.

TravelVoyeur.com last week was included on the all-important, Yahoo Directory--the most important directory for PR Ranking.

In addition, a press release was issued last week. Here it is on Yahoo News.

Since my site is very, very new, the pr rank has not yet been updated, but it will be soon. Looking for good PR ranked websites to trade links with.

Wow! In only 10 hours so far today I've got 300 uniques. I'm getting picked up here and there now.

LOL! I'm on page of one Google for the search "Voyeur". And I'm still too new to have a PR rank yet!

Traffic is really spiking this week. One day had 500 uniques.

Site is doing really well.

Well, it already got PR5.

Have you been able to monetize the site accordingly?

I'll send some sites to exchange 3-way links soon.

Holy Crap! How could I go from no PR to a PR5 in just a couple months????

I know PR can somehow fluctuate. Do you think that it could change?

Is the Yahoo Directory listing that powerful?

I think the press release on Yahoo News was a major factor. How did you get that?

Did you pay to get indexed in the Yahoo Directory?

Also, have you been able to monetize that site?

I bought and read a GREAT book called SEObook (www.seobook.com) that said the most important thing you can do is get into the Yahoo Directory. But if you do not pay, it could take a long, long time to get in. So I paid the $300 and took my chance that they would accept it (they don't have to, and keep the money).

The press release was $180 through prweb.com. I guess it was well-written enough for Yahoo to pick it up.

Money well-spent apparently.

I'm getting some Adsense income, but not alot yet. My main concern was to create a nice site and get the traffic up. I can always (and will) add other revenue streams. The Adsense will ramp up on it's own as the traffic increases; I'll need to find affiliates that work for the site.

I had this site for sale last week for $5,000, and an offer for $4,000. Thank goodness I didn't sell it yet. I should be able to do something pretty decent with this and sell it for multiples of that rather quickly.

There are sites that offer travel videos uploaded by users, but there are so many, you have to go through all the crap to find anything decent. And, as a site owner, it must be expensive to host all that bandwith. It is definitely hard to find anything decent going straight to Youtube.com. And then there are the sites that just publish professional travel videos. Boring!

I think, although it takes me a half hour to an hour a day to find videos and create the article, it makes for a more enjoyable site...that is, if the users like my choices of videos.

The great thing will be when I have hundreds of pages of video articles. I have really done a good job with the SEO for each page, so search engines should drive destination-specific travel searhers right to my pages. It's happening already I can see by looking at my stats history.
