MCN and Meteli.mobi Announce Collaboration at Helsinki Mobile Monday
HELSINKI, Finland, June 4 /PRNewswire/ --
- Finland's Leading Mobile Music Information Service to Use MCN's Mobilesearch.net
Platform to Provide Real-Time Mobile Content Search Results
Nemesys, operator of the Meteli.mobi service, Finland's new mobile music service and
Mobile Content Networks (MCN), a global leader in real-time mobile search, today
announced Meteli.mobi's selection of MCN's MobileSearch.net platform to power mobile
content discovery.
Meteli.mobi was launched in February 2007 by Nemesys, the company behind one of
Finland's leading music services, Meteli.net. Offering information and mobile content
about concerts calenders, festivals, bands, musicians as well as music news, Meteli.mobi
offers information in both Finnish (www.meteli.mobi) and English
(www.meteli.mobi/en). Now, with MobileSearch, Meteli.mobi, visitors can access
premium ringtones and images associated with their favorite bands and artists.
"MCN's MobileSearch services provide a great value-added feature to the Meteli.mobi
users," said Meteli.mobi CEO Patrik Lindberg. "Now we enable Music fans to show their
true colours. While browsing through concert calendars and artist pages, fans have the
opportunity to fill their phones with related ringtones, pictures and wallpapers. We're
also planning to include new music-related merchandise offerings into the service in the
near future, and MobileSearch capability is critical to the success of those offerings."
"We're excited to be part of this popular new music service tailored for mobile
users," said Marc Bookman, CEO of MCN. "Finland is where we launched the world's first
real-time mobile search services with DNA Networks in 2005 and since then we have also
been fortunate to be selected to power local search for TeliaSonera's Surfport WAP portal
under the Sumohaku local search brand. Now, with an innovator like Meteli.mobi we continue
to be on the leading edge of profitable mobile content discovery in Finland."
