Yes, our UK servers are located on a completely different IP range/datacenter. We also have several US servers that have different IP ranges (and not located at SoftLayer) available on request (not by default)... just contact our sales department and we'll quickly set you up.

There are actually several reasons for introducing a new brand:

1) ExcellentHost provides readily-available VPS plans and (soon) dedicated servers

2) Accounts are setup much more quickly and efficiently, as the billing system is now integrated with our servers, so in most cases, we don't have to manually setup accounts (we do so at PolurNET). The order process is also more simplified and extensively customized for ease of use.

3) ExcellentHost has a new & cool web 2.0 look, with more descriptions on our products and comparative differences available

4) Several new plans are introduced, especially our new UK datacenter location at BlueSquare ... a great choice for those looking for a cost-effective webhosting account closer to Europe.

PolurNET in fact continues to be really popular, so we're trying to diversify our interests as a result. For instance, HostOptima now manages our Windows hosting department, while ExcellentHost has a broader focus with VPS/dedicated plans. We will soon be introducing a completely revamped website for PolurNET, and also shift focus to a premium/business/enterprise level of webhosting services. In contrast, ExcellentHost is expected to attract a diversified entry-level/enthusiast customer base, also targeting the VPS market.
