Ok here is the idea. I am going to start a website where I will be giving you those high traffic domains whose .com version is not registered. The domains could be TLD or ccTLD.
For example if there is a domain abc.net or abc.co.uk which receives daily traffic of about 20,000 and its .com version is not registered then I will post it on website for anyone to grab. It will be an equal opportunity for everyone.
How does that sound?

I have plans to start it in 2 or 3 days. I was thinking of registering a new .com domain for this purpose but then thought why not use some domain from the existing ones I have. Although the one I am going to use isn't exactly conveying the same message but I thought who cares as long as it serves it purpose right.

I wanted to have your opinion on it as to how does it sound? I will reveal the website in 2, 3 days once it is complete.

Shoot questions if any.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Good luck digging for those! It's a tough task.

Though, I'd suggest (as long as there's no trademark on said .com) you buy them up yourself and resell em to the non-.com owners. You could make a pretty penny doing that!

Thanks. Regarding trademark, in some cases it is possible but the user will have to check himself. And that question about why don't I buy those domains myself (my friend also asked this), I will say I don't have that much money to purchase all those. I have bought a few but can't buy all of them.

Well it only really takes one sale to have the funds for another dozen. If you take advantage of the deletion grace period (costs a buck per domain), you won't have to invest much and the payouts could be huge!

One question - why:?

Ok I have identified more than 20 such domains by now (and myself registered 2 of them hehe). And this only in the last two days so the more days will go by the more domains I will try to find. Also I have decided to use Wordpress for this purpose.

You cant take advantage of the grace period anymore. Per ICANN decision domain tasting ended March 31st, 2009.

But what about Dynadot? it claims that 10% of registered through Dynadot domains are acceptable for Grace Deletion. :-/

Maybe u can think of using an affiliate link to a domain registrar so that you get something back from what other's register.
Appreciate u'r effort...

Yes you can but it's a little hard now. I say if you surely want your domain be deleted from Dynadot then submit it at least 70-80 hours before grace period expiry from now on.

I've personally already scanned every top .com to ccTLD extention in the top million for .com. Its long been tasted bud. Loooong been tasted. Im sure hundreds have come before me.

EDIT: Looks like i didnt even keep one domain after tasting! 0 were making profit :yell: :yell: cause I dont see one in dynadot account. Looks like the registrars did a clean sweep.
