Hi,
I am asking this for a friend, he is analysing the domains and good BL. BUT I have a feeling on some auctions he participate, people are bidding on a BL too, but for other reasons. They are not a little interested in traffic. I think they have in their minds to recover PR and sell those links. So I am asking for him, where could he see PR history?Simply to stay away from PR4 and higher.

As far as I know, a domain loses it's PR upon change of ownership. The only was to possibly save the PR is to duplicate each page of the existing website. This sounds like an awful lot of work for little return. But then, what do I know about selling domains with PR and BL. One thing your friend should be aware of is the quality of the BL. If they are crap, he's not going to get much for the domain, unless he intends selling these domains with crap BL's to mugs. Which might or might not be a viable business strategy.

Hi Thanks for the answer, but I really think that to recover old PR is not so much of work.Especially when the links are pointing to the main page. Otherwise working on it is a piece of art. But anway profitable, since PR5 and higher links are very expensive. I guess after the next Google update or 2, the old links are counting towards PR again. Ive seen many domains when expired, bought and immediately put to wordpress blog. Its Pablo from Name Pros, I am asking this for him, since I think he is overpaying the traffic on Auctions and bidding against the people who are interested only to recover PR 5 and higher.

That is absolutely for link selling, but that is for the past, high pr with no quality backlink is crap now. In the past i easily made $1000 with link selling, after many google animal update. The PR is not too important for backlink to rank in Serp. And right now recover PR will hve 50:50 success rate.
