My relative’s mental and physical health has declined very last in the last couple of months, and he asked me to help sell about 200 domain names he collected over the years as “investments.” He used to sell a few occasionally but hasn’t in recent years. Most are related to crypto, ukraine and AI, often with names like “2buy,” “4sell,” etc., across .com, .eu, .de, .ch, .blog, and .shop. I’ve listed about 10 on SEDO, but they’ve had no views so far. I’m not technical and unsure how to price or sell them effectively. He still thinks the domains must be worth at least a few thousands and he wants me to sell them for him so he can pay some medical stuff and/or a retreat.

Some very kind people on reddit recommend me this forum and said that you were a kind community who could help and that I should post the domains here and "crypt" them so they don't get "listed".

The list looks mostlye like this but in different variations (imo these are the "better" ones):
bitcoin4you (.)-(c h)
crypto4trade (.)-(c om)
bitcoin4trade (.)-(e u)
crypto2sell (.)-(c om)
btc2trade (.)-(c om)
bitcoin2sell (.)-(c om)
ais*x4you (.)-(c om)
ais*x4me (.)-(c om)
ais*x4us (.)-(c om)
consulting4ukraine (.)-(c om)
trainings4ukraine (.)-(c om)
training4ukraine (.)-(c om)
construction4ukraine (.)-(c om)
ukraineconsultants (.)-(c om)
I am glad and thankful for every help we can get! Also I wasn't sure if I need to censor a certain 3 letter word. I guess you can imagine which letter should have been instead of the * instead.

Thank you all in advance!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
AfternicAfternic
You can list them on Sedo and Afternic. You will also want the domains to point to a for-sale landing page. Both of those major marketplaces offer landing pages if you want to use theirs.

The automated appraisals are all over the place and generally can not be trusted. There is an appraisal section on this forum. Opinions on price can vary greatly, but it might give you a better idea.

Domains aren't very liquid, usually it takes a long time to sell for "retail price", if you were wanting to sell them more quickly, you would want to sell them for wholesale price, which might be something like 10% of the retail value. If you did decide to sell them wholesale you could actually do that on this forum in the for sale section also.

Best of luck!

Maybe share the list of names with a respected member here (ask them first) and see what they think.

Oh dear, what a poisoned chalice you have been handed. In this situation I would make it clear to your relative that the best you can do is to list the domains for sale. If your not sure on pricing - list as 'Make Offer' with a minimum acceptable offer of say $500 and see what interest that generates. Amongst 200 names there will probably be a couple of reasonable domains but Which ones is the hard part.

If your relative had no-luck with the remaining domains while in good-health, It's not likely you will fare much better. Don't forget your asking $500 as a minimum offer so can then concentrate on valuation of individual domains when and if an offer is received.

Hi,
Sorry to hear about your relative, I hope you're all doing ok

In all honesty, I'm not seeing too much value here. I'm not overkeen on '4' and '2' type names, but some people don't mind them, and as they're trending keywords some of the .coms might have a chance.
I'd probably list them low to mid three figures and keep everything crossed for a sale here & there. Or you could auction them (but probably get hardly anything).

Best wishes, welcome to np :xf.smile:

I hope your relative is doing alright.

Unfortunately, the domains you posted look more like a list of liabilites than assets.

Maybe there are a few gems on the full list, but I doubt there are buyers for these type of domains.

How do I run a search on NB for such a pattern without limiting the length of the word?

I did C4C but that only returns 3L.

I'm sure he's got a few gems in the list of 200.

From what I've seen so far:

Bitcoin4You /com is registered in 13 extensions (Use DotDB.com) which is a good indication of value.

I'd put this one at $5k - $10k range.

When it comes to domains, the best strategy is list on Afternic and Sedo with a Buy now price and just wait. It's a long game, but if you try to liquidate you might get $20-$50 per domain (of the good ones, not all).

If you want to DM me the list, I'll give you some feedback on which ones I'd keep and which ones I would drop.

I'd list these at about $2499 - $3999 (all reg'd in about 4 extensions):

Crypto2Sell .com
Bitcoin2Sell .com
Crypto4Trade .com
BTC2Trade.com

The .com could be.

The problem is it's a .ch.

I read through it multiple times and even then I missed it.

Yeah the .ch isn't worth anything unfortunately.

You might as well go ahead a list all the domains (in this thread) Nobodies going to scalp you, too many eyeballs for that to happen. There's a good variety of mindsets here on NP. maybe between us, we can identify one or two with a fighting chance. However it's not looking good so far

I see most of them were registered within a year, except for the first one, and about to expire in 1+ months. And your relatives health is not good.
I have seen these scenarios before and the best way to save some money for medical expenses is by not renewing them.
Hope your relative gets well soon.

First of all I want to say, I am impressed and can't put in words how thankful I am for all the support and good wishes we are getting here! It took me some time in excel but after sorting out all the .shop .online .blog and other stuff this should be the full list of everything that is left:

@enterscope thank you very very much for the first few appraisels and price ranges! This helps a ton and it is nice to see that at least some value is there!

As enterscope & @bmugford mentioned unfortunatelly it is an .ch not a .com...
Thank you for the good wishes bmugford! You can find the full list below

@alcy I am trying to figure out what to renew and what might be worth keeping so we can pay at least some medical bills.

@BaileyUK you have also written a very nice text in my other thread, I will make sure to responde to that one as well, when I have the time. I like your nice nature and will share the full list below!

I am looking forward to hear from you guys and am forever grateful for the kidness I am receiving here!

Sadly this is true, most of them he aquired when his health was already slowly decling but he didn't tell anyone about it...
Now it all happened rapidly and it took me a long time to even get access to his domains. I have posted the full list above. Some must or should be older afaik. I never even knew he was into "domains" before, he never mentioned this to anyone but trusted me as a younger relative and with more "technical knowledge"

Thank you very much for your professional insight! I think we don't really mind waiting as long as we can cancel the ones that hold no value. So far I also have no really good experienced with appraisals homepages, not even with the paid ones!

Do you have any idea if sedo automaticaly shows "for-sale" landing pages or is that something I have to activate?

Thank you for your message! I only found "Sell Now" and "Biding" on Sedo - Is "Biding" = "Make Offer" in Sedo? Or perhaps I have missed that option when I listed the domains. For me the userinterface of sedo is very new and I still have to learn a lot. It took me forever (+1 support call) to figure the DNS stuff out to actually aprove the listings!
