Google's Results

Hey guys,

I've noticed this with Google. When I do a search like "keyword keyword" I will get 50000 results for eg.

Then I go and check the Google's ad keyword tool etc.

And if I wait awhile and go back to Google and redo my old search for the same "keyword keyword" I get for eg. 5000 results,

What is going on here?

Why are the results changing so rapidly in such a short period of time?

Is this Google simply updating itself (i.e. checking to make sure sites are valid and still accessible)?

I'm confused

Edit: LOL I checked it again and its back up to its original #. What is going on

Your hitting different data centers / servers. Changes in the results have to propagate around their network.

I guess we don't know which one it will eventually be then?
