Google Keyword Tool Advise Needed Please

Are there any Google Keyword Tool Guru's out there that can explain the differences in how google calculates Broad search terms and exact search terms results. I understand the basics but there are some very strange results with some 2 word keyword results ...like keyword keyword will bring up 43,000 searches a month and then you put in (keyword keyword) for exact match and get 90 searches a month. The difference in the figures seems a little odd and not quite right as surely more than 90 people a month would type in keyword keyword if that make sense

exact matches should be less, so i don't understand what you mean by "odd," and why would you assume that more than 90 people a month would type in "keyword keyword?"
