For those of you who use Google Webmaster Tools (and if you manage any web sites, you should), they are rebranding it as "Search Console". "Why," you ask? Official reason - because "the traditional idea of the “webmaster” reflects only some of you."
(Suspected real reason: Some folks have too much time on their hands
)
So what have they done?
- Integrated Google MyBusiness, Google Domains and Custom Search into the product
- Took the display options out of the main menu and put them under individual sites
- By default, their "search analytics" graph only shows clicks
- Added options for Pages, Countries, Device, Search Type to the graph
The GMB integration isn't a bad idea ... unless your page is under a different account.
