Google vs Yahoo

I have used Google for most of my checking/research but recently included Yahoo again.

Interestingly , in many cases there more results for searches at Yahoo than there were at Google - I was quite surprised.

Both Yahoo and Google are now in my search patterns


Just for example a search for Video:

Jeff you are right MSN wants an exclusive partnership with AOL so it will be interesting.

Yeh, and it seems like Google even went a little overboard / out of the way here (providing AOL & their products/services with additional "free advertising" and "preferred placement", etc. IMHO) in this latest partnership in order to keep MSN on the sidelines ... something is definitely UP, in my view.
PS. Keep an eye on Yahoo! :gl:

IMHO, there is much more than meets the eye here with regard to Google's new stake ($1 billion) in AOL (owned by Time Warner)! :gl:

Wanna' bet Microsoft knows exactly what this is?

Just my two sense ... what are your thoughts?

Put them in a sack & shake it up to which one comes out first.

Both are great examples that with enough slick advertising hustle and $$$ you can sell the public a piece of junk. AOL destroyed Netscape & it would be so nice if the same would happen with Google -- I can only hope against hope.

Sad thing is Google used to be great but no longer. AOL has always been a piece of overated junk.

I understand, but to me it's the relevancy (of the results) ... versus the total numbers of search results (from each of the SE's), IMHO. Yahoo is great, Google may still be the best ... all I've noticed is that MSN's has vastly improved with my recent queries. Plus, delivery of fewer results is faster ... also important! :talk:

I never thought I'd say this about MSN but you're right! They have improved their results tremendously in the past 6 months alone.
