MSN :!: :imho:

Page 1 of 682,771,937 results containing Video (0.14 seconds).

I'm not saying the company is the greatest, but their search has gotten much better - and faster - in my view ... and relevancy of search results has seemed to improve in the last severals months, as well (for what I've been searching for at the time).
Just my two sense, of course Yahoo™ is excellent as well!

Just tried VOIP:

MSN 3,538,467 :td: In this case.

Google 94,000,000

Yahoo 102,000,000

Check em all seems to be the answer JMO

I understand, but to me it's the relevancy (of the results) ... versus the total numbers of search results (from each of the SE's), IMHO. Yahoo is great, Google may still be the best ... all I've noticed is that MSN's has vastly improved with my recent queries. Plus, delivery of fewer results is faster ... also important! :talk:

Good stuff, thanks much.

Jeff is right - relevency and accuracy.

Yahoo treats different properties of pages as the same page sometimes, even though it's still the same page, which boosts its numbers.

Besides, why do you care? Are you really going to go through all 2 billion results? Aren't the first 1,500 good enough for you? :D

I prefer google abyway. because yahoo serach is seems more cluttred for me. even thought its gives good result for some search terms but google rules anyway.

Google

Since I have started buying India domains (like you WOT), I use www.Google.com , then I compare the search results to www.Google.co.in . Yahoo has the same, but I guess I just prefer Google.

I generally stick with Google because I find what I'm looking for about 99% of the time, and sometimes it helps to go into their groups and search for questions about computer problems, etc, that I can't find on web pages.

Really?

Granted, Google's labels can take some getting used to (I'd like folders) but their mail is so much quicker, and the grouping by conversation so much more convenient (IMHO) that I get frustrated when I go back to my old Yahoo and Hotmail accounts. Thankfully both Yahoo and Hotmail are supposed to be upgraded next year.

Think again.... I saw a report somewhere about how Yahoo had recently revealed thjat their search index was twixe the size as googles...... yea, so, the article went on to say how Google have better results and the results are more relevant. Lots of people have been comparing the search engines on how many redults they come up. I don't think that is a fair comparison. I think the comparison should be what the results actually are. Also, Google was the first, and the more experienced. And if I remember right Yahoo once ran off the Google api?. Now, as for using Yahoo for mail. Lots of people may have said that untill Gmail came out. Gmail is extremley fast. Gmail does not have huge banners in your email box. Gmail does not send out a little ad at the bottom of every email. Just my 2 cents.

All I can say is I have noticed google's search's getting worse and worse for relevancy. Search for the second most traded commodity in the world, coffee. Guess what is number 2? Coffee Break Arcade, a gaming website. How relevant google has become.... it's sad that they can't figure out a genuine coffee site from a non-coffee site because of just one word being present in the title and domain...

The sadest part is that the description doesn't even mention coffee so how is it that google can't figure this out but yahoo can?

Coffee Break Arcade - Free GamesPlay the best FREE games on the web. Select online games from 6 categories including Sports, Shooting, Racing, Classic, Casino and Cool.
www.coffeebreakarcade.com/ - 11k - 16 Dec 2005 - Cached - Similar pages

C'mon google, I thought you were geniuses. This is sad showcase of relevancy. 146 million other pages and that is the number 2 best for coffee and it doesn't even mention coffee in the description. argh. I think google gets too much credit for thier search capabilities and not enough credit for thier awesome branding/marketing capabilities. They are awesome marketers if you ask me.

IMHO, there is much more than meets the eye here with regard to Google's new stake ($1 billion) in AOL (owned by Time Warner)! :| :gl:

Wanna' bet Microsoft knows exactly what this is? :alien:
Keep your eyes peeled, folks (and hang on for the ride in 2006)! :music:

Just my two sense ... what are your thoughts?
