Google to shut down GMail.

Google confirmed that it will shut down its beta Gmail email service in July.
In emails sent out to its high-end users, it stated that it could not keep up with the number of subscriptions and advised them to avoid using the entire 1 GB it was offering as storage space...

Yah, I am a bit worried to since it is Beta, and they havent said anything like "You will get to keep your account" :o

On their site I did find a part where it said signing up during BETA would mean you keep your account when released publically.

google not overselling b-coz,
it allocaes memory dynamically,
its fact that, no one use morethan 50mb space for mails,
with this calculation, they can give 1GB to 20people, but still we think that we haev 1GB,
but there is a chance that some people use 1Gb with media files

Of course they allocate memory dynamically. And I'm sure they closely monitor it so when it gets to the point where they are running out of space they just buy more.
