Certainly wouldn't be a bad idea for Google to come out with something like this...but I don't know.

not gonna happen...google is about to launch free cellphones and service which will be paid for with mobile ads...and of course they are going to make $ off mobile ads from all others too...they already tested it in 10 countries...

it's about google collaboration with a cell phone manufacturer to release a google cell, which, if the above is all true, may stand in direct competition with the coming iPhone. Main difference may be the way information is handled. if google wants to run everything serverside and have the phone just on the receiving end, they're going to face plant in the USA, our cell networks are not up to that standard and speed, yet.

I agree with you that our cell networks are not up to that speed, the speed should be improve more and more.
