Google Prefers FireFox

I went to google.com on internet explorer, and what did i see?

"Google recommends upgrading to the NEW, safer Firefox 2.0"

right on the top of the page, with a button linked to the firefox download.

I think that's why google also gives you adsense money if you put a firefox banner on your site. I've seen those around places.

Thought it would have nagged you to use IE7.

Also, it doesn't say "Use Firefox" or whatever, when i visit Google in IE.
Unless it already knows i use FireFox. o_0 :hehe:

The reason google "recomends firefox" is becuase they have deal going on together, kind of like Sponsorship.
When you download firefox browser you get the little search bar which when you search through goes to the google search results, if you then click on one of the Sponsored Links firefox get a slice of the money.
Google and firefox wins.

Its not just because of the deal. Google recommend firefox because it is better for users than IE.

This is how stupid MS are:

Last week, my parents computer updated -- even though automatic updates are turned off, it did it without telling them. It Installed IE7 --- since then, they have been using firefox. MS are basicly using their power to force people to upgrade. It hasn't done it to me yet, but i dare say it will.

Put simply, if programs worked on mac or linux i think 90% of "techies" would switch. That is except the "I love Microsoft" crew
