I just launched my first website last month…and didn’t do much back links…just submitted my site to 10 directories…submitted 4 articles to 4 different article directories…and made some forum signature posts…and some of my pages (internal pages not homepage) already got PR 1 and 2….
And interestingly I had no idea why….and I really didn’t do anything for PR…
This is strange, somebody got their site a few days ago but got PR1 or so but other have their site site for how many months or weeks now including me...lol...but why this google update so weird and we have tried all the stuffs here yet our PR still the same.
Yes even I got page rank for my blog. I just shared this blog on social networking sits and and submitted articles on top article sites. I got page rank from 0 to 1.
Well, google assigns PR as according to your sites format, its web friendliness, designing & development. The more SEO fiendly the site will be the more easily it will gain PR.
I am shocked that you have got the page rank so easily in just one or two weeks on the other hand i am having some sites and they are not having the page ranks at all. May be that happen coz of the good content by your site and the google updation. Hope i will also get the page rank for my sites soon.
Google Page Rank depends on the quality of the website as well as regular updation to the website. The more updated the website is the more it would be easier for page rank to be updated.
Closing threads when there's no genuine ongoing discussion can help, but there's a lot to keep track of in this section...
If anyone's actually reading this for information:
Page rank is not tied to Panda
There are 2 types of pr - google internal and the public version you see
The internal one is being updated constantly. The public one is updated whenever they feel like it and usually months out of date.
The public one is a measure of the number and quality of links to your site - nothing else. Site quality has nothing to do with it.
