I have a domain which was owned and developped by someone since 1-2 years ago (checked from archive.org).
I bought it recently +- 2 months ago.
I submitted my domain by Google Webmaster Tools, i have added a sitemap for Google.
Sitemap status was OK, said Google.

The problem is, Google crawls pages which do not exist now (maybe they existed on the past).

How do i fix this? Thanks.

can't you just remove those phantom pages in webmaster tools?

eventually googlebot will stop visiting those pages that don't exist anyway, unless there are still links floating around to those pages.

i have made 4 removal requests for 4 non exist pages, but google crawled the other non exist 4 pages. (My current page is a single static page, i have not developped it)

Don't remove the pages!

Grep your logs for 404 errors. Find all the pages that search engines are crawling and make a list.

Then check those URLs for backlinks. You might have valuable links pointing at those old pages. You can then use "301" redirects to redirect the search engines to similar pages on the new version of the site.
