Google buys GrandCentral

Google has bought the GrandCentral service:-

We're pleased to announce that we have acquired GrandCentral Communications, a company that provides services for managing your voice communications. GrandCentral is an innovative service that lets users integrate all of their existing phone numbers and voice mailboxes into one account, which can be accessed from the web. We think GrandCentral's technology fits well into Google's efforts to provide services that enhance the collaborative exchange of information between our users.

This seems a bit off the wall for Google, quite a bit different than any current Google offerings. I wonder what they have planned?

it so you can goto google and you can check everything email pay bills etc. im sure google will become like yahoo and msn soon watch they will probably buy a dating site lol

google has orkut that can be used for dating ..no need to buy any new...lol

I think google will buy anything that generates lots of money or any services that will compete with other search engine Titans.
