Hello, I helped an a elementary home care and educational (small business) set up a website, and get a edu domain with google apps over 5 yrs ago.
Now that the EDU rules have changed (gotten very strict, they want graduates), and their current domain is expiring, I need to help them figure out what do we need to do to renew the domain.
Advice needed:
I need options on what to do, they don't want to loose their emails and free accounts with Google Apps from before.
Can you please share some advise or options on how to keep the domain

- Can I switch it to an .org domain, and will it remain free in the google apps account.
- If I leave it as the EDU for them, will goog cancel the accoun once it expires?
