Google and ccTLD

If you write google.com in your browser does google redirect you to your local site like google.us? In Finland google redirect all google.com pages to google.fi.

I was wondering that should I start investing into ccTLD domains because as we know google give better search result for local pages than global domains (business.fi vs. business.com vs. business.us).

Yes when possible Google redirects all users to their local Google search page.

Having a cctld will not automatically give you goodrankings in locsal searches a lot of other thingsare taken into consideration.
