Google AdSense referral program begins

As reported by CNET:

Now Google will reward AdSense participants that refer other small Web publishers and bloggers to the program. The company will pay $100 per AdSense sign-up after new participants earn their first $100 in ad revenue, the company said. Publishers can join the program by adding a "referral button" to their sites through their AdSense accounts.

Google will also pay AdSense participants in the U.S. $1 for every person who downloads the Google Firefox toolbar via referral and was not a previous Firefox browser user.

Seems like this will be a sweet additional source of revenue for serious AdSense maniacs.

this actually started 3 days ago when they started their new TOS.

Before you get paid the person you refered must earn $100. The rewarsd is good tho as you get $100 for anyone that meets the criteria.

they had to do this, now that there are other big players coming in aka yahoo and msn.

BTW the nicest part of that "referral button" is the fact that you can put it just above your adsense ads which has that ugly "Ads by Goooooooooooooooooogle" on top of it.... what this'll do is that visually that ugly thing will appear to be just below that button and quite a distance away from the actual ads .......(if you're using the vertical format for displaying ads)
