so i received a business card from goodlife fitness club and my membership coordinator's email address was *****@GoodLifeMakesItEasy.com, 39 characters in total with his name. I thought maybe its his own personal reg, but no.

So what do you think, slogans as domains are the next big thing?

Personally, I like Call to Action domains. "SaveTheTrees.com" -- catchy and definitely memorable.

Reece is correct. They are considered Call-To-Action or common term domains. They just make sense. Easy to remember, catchy etc.

The problem with the one they are using, its Long....

I have about 100 ish call to action domains..

YouDork.com, WhoDoesThis.com, RefuelMe.com, AlwaysMe.com, BecomeKing.com, DoesntPay.com, GimmeMine.com, GetSoon.com, iAmPerfect.com to name a few. :)

im not saying there is anything wrong with a good call to action domain,
however not all slogans are call to actions
For example, goodlifemakesiteasy.com, is not a call to action name, since there is no call, it is a superlative, a superlative domain like for example, wearethebest.com

save the trees.com
getnamed.com

are call to action since they are asking to take action "Save" "get"

@pommyg: nothing worked since i've been a member for a long time, it just surprised me they used such LONG name, and not very easy to type, but if you like long names like that that is cool too, just not my personal preference

I agree that as a domain name, it sucks. But as a PR tool, it does its job, after all, we are discussing it here.

I see tons of call to action domains in tv ads, I too think this area has a solid future.

Call to action domains make a lot of sense as they are a great extension of branding and positioning efforts. Only problem for the common domainer; it's companies driving the branding and positioning and most have a TM on their slogan or call to action - hence, most useful domains would be in violation.
Treacherous territory imo.
