I'm looking to get a digital camera, and I was wondering if you guys could suggest anything. I was hoping above 3.5 megapixels, under the price of $200. The lower, the better :tu:

I found this one, and I'm concidering buying.

Any comments on this?

See what you can find on Ebay.

That's where I'm going to buy my next one, shortly.

eBay is worth a shot.

I ended up spending about $250 on my last camera (a Cannon Powershot A510) and I am currently still very happy with what all it can do for the price. I remember my research showed that in the lower price end, Cannon and Nikon are better cameras because they use glass lenses. Olympus wasn't a bad brand at all, either. The camera above looks pretty good but I'd look through eBay first just to check.

I would recommend the canon sd200. You should be able to get it for around $200 on ebay. I have the sd500 and absolutely love it.

If you go digital, go with either Ixus 700 or Powershot S70 :) Both are Canon, top notch quality..

I have a powershot but I heard the sony cameras are really nice. For about double that price sony offers a 7.0 MEGAPIXEL!

I got a Kodak(http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=9/19/131/2797&pq-locale=en_US - this one can be found on specials for less) digital camera a month or 2 ago and its pretty good. I like the zoom and picture on it. One thing to look for is does it have a picture view/review on it that is big enough to see? Also look for one that has the little eye hole also(if it is sunny out then the big area is really hard to see).
Just my 2 cents

I just sold my Minolta Z1 3.2 MP with 10x Optical and 4x Digital Zoom on eBay for $155... it's one of the best cameras I've ever owned.

Check epinions for reviews on anything you're thinking of buying. Here's the skinny on the Olympus d-580:

One thing to think about is the shutter time (i think thats what its called). Better quality cameras have a lower shutter time, which means you click the button and that is the time before it takes a picture. So obviously, you would rather have one with a .25 second shutter time over a 1 second shutter time. (this makes it more like a normal camera where the picture is taken instantly when you click the button).

What you're speaking of is called "shutter lag".. and you're correct, you want the shortest possible amount of shutter lag. Unfortunately, in general, the lower the cost of the camera, the more shutter lag you're likely to experience.
