Golf <space here> .info

Just regged iPlayGolf[dot]info for a minisite.. short, memorable.

Comments, suggestions? Straight minisite or blog? Or combination of both?

given that a minisite doesn't involve a lot of work I'd be for both things.
At the moment, domain value is $0.

Do you want feedback/appraisals on iplaygolf.info or golf.info or both?

what is with the fake title - is this an ebay auction ....

How is it a fake title? It's a Golf .info.. as in Golf related. If I had put Golf.info as the title, then it would have been fake. It clearly says Golf [space] .info.

this is really weak. you have been on this site long enough to know better. why not put "Golf related - .info" or better yet - just put the domain name in the title.

I think that this would make NamePros a better place, I just hate the ebay auction look....

Personally, I thought Golf "with a space" and .info was self explanatory and sufficient. If I'd wanted the domain to be Googled in an appraisal section on a forum, I'd have put the actual domain name in the thread title to your specifications..

Actually, I know what the domain is worth, to me.. was just curious to know whether anyone thought the value increased, developed, with or without a blog, as I asked, or a combination of both.

To me, I would appraise it around $25 undeveloped.

Low XX inho. Not enough known about the domain. Develop it and make it known!

Reg Fee to Low XX without development.

Put a minisite up with some RSS feeds, you'll do ok with it.

actually I clicked to see this thread simply because of the Gulf.info title. Not that I am very angry about it, but just want to let you konw that your title does have its marketing effect.

I'm actually amazed at the hub-bub about the thread title.. when I first posted the thread, I didn't give any thought to the title other than posting it as a Golf <space> .info.. no marketing ruse or deception intended.

I didn't want to post the actual domain name in the thread or thread title as is.

You know what it is? It's just annoying and a small waste of people's time when folks don't post the exact domain they want feedback or appraisals on. If you're asking for someone to take some time and look at your domain(s) and give you feedback, at least have the courtesy to list the domain in the thread title. You could have listed iplaygolf(dot)info or something that actually would let a person know the domain before having to open the thread. I try to always put the domain(s) that I want appraised in my thread titles, just so I don't waste people's time. I actually think that should be a rule in the appraisals forum. I'm going to try to make it a policy not to ever post in any appraisal threads where people title them something like "Appraise these really cool domains I have". When I saw your thread I did think before I opened it that you wanted an appraisal on Golf.info. It's just an annoying thing. But it's no big deal. You post your threads the way you like and others can choose to click on them or not. Good luck.

You're missing my point.. I didn't put "Golf.info" in the thread title.. I put "Golf <there's a space here> .info".. and that's why I'm amazed people feel it was either 1) rude or 2) intentionally misleading.

Who fricken cares?

It's nothing worth getting upset over. I thought it was plenty obvious that it wasn't golf.info.

Look at the thread title again yourself. Do you really think that many people noticed that one space. I sure didn't. I just saw Golf.info. And even those who noticed that small space between Golf and .info would have probably thought it a typo. Now if you had posted a title that read... Golf .info. People would know something is up and its probably not gold .info. Whatever your intentions were it had the effect of making people think the thread was relating to the domain Golf.info. Good luck.

Edit: Interesting... I put like 10 spaces between Golf and .info but the forum automatically removes all but one... let me try again...

Golf .info

Edit: Cool, I just learned something new about how the forum software works. I wonder if that's a bug or they want it to do that?
