thanks shockie....however...i dont see how he has rights to golden....and phelps......plus....i plan on making it a fan site....a dedicatin site to his acheivements.....

any thoughts?

ps---golden is a generic term...and phelps...well he isnt the only phelps in the world...right?

well in that case, use the domain for a social networking website for people with the last name "phelps" and have a bullion of gold.

I think people get to scared when they think some major sports star is going to take their domain name because they have the rights to it. It is extremely hard to take a domain name from someone bc they supposedly have the rights to it, and not the other million people with the same name. But it is good to think about such things before purchasing a domain, as is trademark, etc. As for these names, I think they would do very well parked with the PPC ads. As for resale, I think your best bet is to hold onto them for when the Olympics come to London in 2012 and Phelps comes back to win even more gold - Get rid of it after the London Olympics in 2012 in order to receive full value of name, park til then. Its no telling what this name could fetch in 2012 when the best Olympic athlete ever retires!

Sounds like a project to do for fun rather then money but you never know, it could pay off.
