Hi, and welcome to the appraisal for "goji.net".
Thank you for taking the time to appraise one of my domains.
Here are my qualifying benchmarks:

1. Acquisition Reason:
It is an LLLL.net which is a pronounceable word, and it is appraised for $10k on Estibot.

2. Markets:
Goji berries: weightloss & health niches

3. Research:
The Goji Berry industry is predicted to significantly grow within the next two years into a multi-billion dollar industry. That's just Goji Berries alone. They are considered one of the few true super foods which are very high in certain kinds of anti oxidants, and curb appetite promoting weight loss. The health benefits vary widely.

4. End-User Value:
Because of the positive benefits, and general consumption being as a dried fruit, Goji Berries tend to be quite expensive. A small bag being $10 - $60, with organic products being much more expensive.
Being predominantly consumed in a dried state, it is perfect for sales online.
Dropshipping, or affiliate sales, of Goji Berries could be extremely lucrative.
Estibot appraises this domain @ $10k, therefore I think it would be fair to charge an end user at least $5k for this domain.

5. Reseller Value:
Given what the end user can do with a powerful domain like this, a reseller should be able to make a nice profit off of this domain. They could even throw up a quick site prepared to do Goji Berry dropshipping or affiliate sales, and upsell it as a weight loss or health site.
Estibot appraises this domain @ $10k, therefore I think it might be fair to charge a reseller at least $2.5k for this domain.

6. Traffic:
I have not checked for any traffic on the domain itself.
However, there are close to 100k searches a month on Google for the keyword "Goji Berries."
While that is highly competitive, the interest is strong enough that using a cheaper alternative advertising source would still be highly lucrative.

7. Revenue:

None. Undeveloped.

8. Age:
16 years.

9. Miscellaneous:
N/A

I think that the price you paid for it on Flippa was just about right from a reseller point of view. Was thinking of biding on the auction but decided to pass. Get an end user and you might triple or quadruple your money. Good luck with it!

Thank you for commenting, sir.
I've been putting everything I have into various facets of the IM world since October 2015, so I'm quite new, but trying to make a living in this industry.
Please let me know if you have any further advice, and thank you again.

It could also be considered a brandable. Gives you even more options.

Thank you, Don! That's a fantastic idea.
I just setup smtp stuff with SparkPost, so I have that capability now, and I think I'm going to take your advice. :)

Not sure what you mean by "I guess they will be happy to makes you laugh". haha
But I assume you mean I'll be laughing at how easy it might be to sell it to them?

In any case, great advice, and again I thank you, sir! :D

You are a lucky boy :!:

gojicom is old and established for an other purpose http://www.goji.com/

So goji.net could be more interesting in goji berries industry, commerce, ..

I got chills! :P

How much do you think it's worth, sir?
For that matter, I am open to general advice on how to valuate domains.

From Venture File's response, I gathered that the domain is worth 1/20th of the Estibot appraisal to the reseller, and then about 1/5th of the Estibot appraisal to the end user.
That could mean a blanket 1/14th might be a good standard.
Similarly, Michael Sumner of Name Bios told me in an email that domains were worth about 1/10th of their Estibot appraisal in the wholesale markets.
Which is somewhat close to what Venture mentioned.

Any advice, or standards given are GREATLY appreciated.
Thank you guys, again, and thanks Bullock for the encouragement and insight!. :)

I don't trust any assessments based on Estibot:!::-/

Maca.com, an other 4L.com in the same sector, was sold for $150K http://www.domaininvesting.com/maca-com-sold-150000/
I'd say very (uncommon) big stroke:xf.cool:

IMHO. I put my quote as "asking price" for goji.net at 5% of maca.com price. Of course to end-user, and you must find the right!

* Asking price means... negotiable:xf.wink:

Yessssss... we must always keep in mind:

a domain name is worth exactly what a buyer is willing to pay for it, no more and no less;

or, depending on how much you need the money more than you need the domain.

Wow... that's very interesting.
So, you look more at the niches and past related sales, it seems.
I'll get a bit more friendly with NameBios in that case. :)

Thank you guys again, and again! You've been tremendously helpful! ^_^

Love the name..

Huge market

$5k to an end user,

If I won it I would dev into a wholesale portal...
with plenty of info...

Also make sure not to park it you don't want the .com to show up anywhere on your .net

You'd have saved a couple hundred dollars if I stopped bidding...:rolleyes::-o;):'(

Definitely. Thanks. :)
Awesome. That's good to know.

Yeah, I'm considering a landing page w/ some Ali Express affiliate links until I can flip it.
I'm decent enough with Facebook Ads that I might be able to make something happen there in the meantime.
So, that's a great suggestion, thank you. :D

Good to know about parking. I'll be sure to keep that in mind for all future domains. Thanks again. :O

GASP! It was you! O_O
I thought was going to get it at around $340 for a bit there. xD
If you had gone up to $600, you woulda gotten it.
That was where I was gonna draw the line. :P

Thanks so much for your counsel, Compassion! ^_^
Good advice all around!
